Setup Checklist
A recommended order of operations for setting up a new Pluraprint deployment.
If you’re standing up Pluraprint for the first time, this checklist walks through the recommended order of operations. Each step links to a full guide.
1. Sign in
Your Pluraprint team creates your organization’s first administrator account and sends you a sign-in link as part of onboarding. Use it to sign in for the first time and, if your organization uses single sign-on, ask us to connect it.
2. Confirm your site(s)
Your first Site is usually created for you during onboarding. Review its name and description, and create additional sites if you manage more than one physical location.
→ Sites
3. Connect an agent at each site
Generate an enrollment token for each site and deploy the Pluraprint Agent on a computer at that location. Once it shows as Online, you’re ready to add printers.
4. Add your printers
Add each physical printer to the site it lives at, choosing the matching model and entering its connection details.
→ Adding a Printer · Bambu Lab Printers · Formlabs Printers
5. Set up materials
Build out your materials library (types, brands, and colors) and load printers’ slots with the filament or resin you have on hand.
6. Invite your team and assign roles
Add your teammates as users, and assign them roles so they have the right level of access, from “can submit jobs” up to “can manage everything.”
→ Users & Team Members · Roles & Permissions
7. Review approval rules and set quotas
Pluraprint ships with a sensible starting set of rules (every job needs an owner, web jobs need a printer and materials selected, and every job needs staff approval). Review these, adjust them to match your policies, and add usage quotas if you want to cap material, time, or job counts.
→ How Rules & Quotas Work · Building Approval Rules · Setting Usage Quotas
8. (Optional) Set up walk-up stations
If you want a kiosk near your printers for walk-in users, register a Station, assign it a Station Template, and issue PIN/card credentials to the people who’ll use it.
9. Start printing
You’re ready to go: submit a print job from the web app and watch it move through approval, queueing, and printing.
