Bambu Lab Printers
Connect a Bambu Lab P1S, H2S, or H2D printer to Pluraprint.
Pluraprint connects to Bambu Lab P1S, H2S, and H2D printers directly over your local network using the printer’s built-in LAN mode. The agent at your site talks to the printer directly: no Bambu Lab cloud account is required.
Before you start
- The printer must be on the same local network as your site’s agent.
- LAN mode must be enabled on the printer (see below).
Finding your printer’s connection details
You’ll need three pieces of information from the printer itself, all found on its built-in screen.
IP address
- On the printer, open Settings.
- Go to Network.
- Note the printer’s IP address (for example,
192.168.1.100).
If the printer doesn’t show an IP address, confirm it’s connected to your Wi-Fi or Ethernet network. Your network’s router/admin page can also show connected devices if you need to confirm the address.
Serial number
- On the printer, open Settings.
- Go to Device Info.
- Note the Serial Number. It’s also printed on a label on the printer itself.
Enter this in uppercase letters and numbers only.
Access code (LAN mode)
- On the printer, open Settings.
- Go to Network.
- Enable LAN Mode if it isn’t already on.
- Note the Access Code shown: a code of 6 or more characters.
Camera stream (H2S and H2D only)
H-series printers ship with their local camera stream switched off, so Pluraprint can’t capture snapshots until you turn it on:
- On the printer, open Settings.
- Go to General.
- Turn on LAN Mode Liveview (the label varies slightly between firmware versions: look for “LAN Only Liveview” or “Local RTSP Stream”).
The P1S needs no equivalent step; its camera works as soon as LAN mode is on.
Adding the printer in Pluraprint
Follow Adding a Printer and choose your model (P1S, H2S, or H2D) from the Production group. Then fill in:
| Field | Where to find it |
|---|---|
| IP Address | Settings → Network |
| Serial Number | Settings → Device Info (uppercase) |
| Access Code | Settings → Network → LAN Mode |
Select Add Printer. Pluraprint will attempt to connect right away: if everything is correct, the printer’s status updates from Offline to Idle within a few moments.
What each model supports
| Model | Extruders | Material slots | Camera | Pause/Resume |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| P1S | 1 | Up to 16 (with AMS Lite) | Yes | Yes |
| H2S | 1 | Up to 16 (with AMS) | Yes | Yes |
| H2D | 2 | Up to 16 (8 per extruder, with AMS) | Yes | Yes |
Once connected, head to Materials to tell Pluraprint what filament is loaded in each slot.
Troubleshooting
- Printer won’t connect: double-check the IP address hasn’t changed (printers on Wi-Fi can sometimes get a new address from your router). Confirm LAN mode is still enabled and the access code matches exactly.
- Connection works, then drops: make sure the printer’s IP address is reserved/static on your network so it doesn’t change after a restart.
- Agent and printer can’t see each other: confirm both are on the same network/VLAN, and that nothing (like a guest network or VPN) is isolating them from each other.
- No camera snapshots on an H2S or H2D: turn on LAN Mode Liveview on the printer (Settings → General), as described above. The printer’s detail page in Pluraprint will say so explicitly when this is the cause.
If you’re still stuck, contact your Pluraprint support team with the printer model, site name, and any error shown on the printer’s detail page.
