Print Jobs

Tracking Your Jobs

Follow your print jobs from submission through completion.

Once you’ve submitted a print job, use My Print Jobs (near the top of the sidebar) to follow its progress.

My Print Jobs

The page is organized into four tabs:

TabShows
AllEvery job you’ve submitted, in any status.
Needs ActionJobs that need something from you: drafts, jobs still processing, jobs awaiting approval, and failed jobs you haven’t acknowledged yet. Shows a count badge when non-empty.
In ProgressJobs that are queued, being sent to a printer, printing, or paused.
HistoryCompleted, failed, rejected, cancelled, or expired jobs.

Each tab shows a table with a thumbnail, job name, status, estimated duration, who submitted it, and when it was created. Use the search box to find a specific job by name.

Actions from the Needs Action tab

Depending on the job, you may see:

  • Dismiss: acknowledge a failed job so it moves out of “Needs Action”.
  • Cancel: withdraw a job before it starts printing.
  • Open: go to the job’s detail page.

The job detail page

Select Open (or a job’s name) to see its full details.

What this job needs

At the top, a checklist shows everything this job must satisfy before it can queue, with each item marked:

  • Satisfied: done
  • 🟡 Pending: still needed
  • 🔴 Blocking: the job is denied or blocked

Some pending items (like “Definition at web”) are clickable and take you to where you can resolve them.

Preview and details

  • Preview: a thumbnail of the model, or a generic file icon if a preview isn’t available.
  • Details: estimated duration, who submitted the job, which printer it’s assigned to (if any), and when it was created.

Live progress

  • While dispatching, you’ll see an “Uploading to Printer” progress bar.
  • While printing, you’ll see a progress bar, percentage complete, and estimated time remaining.
  • If the assigned printer has a camera, a live snapshot is shown below the main details.

Queue estimate

If your job is queued or awaiting approval and has an estimated duration, a “Queue Estimate” card shows roughly how long until it’s expected to complete, based on its position in the queue.

Materials

If the job has material requirements, a table lists each one: color, material type/brand, and which extruder/slot it’s assigned to, along with how it was confirmed: “Approved” once the job has been submitted to the queue, “Configured” if its owner has filled in the details but the job is still awaiting approval, or “From slicer” if it’s still based on the original file.

Activity timeline

A timeline at the bottom shows the job’s history: when it was created, uploaded, approved, queued, started printing, and so on.

Actions available on a job

Depending on its status and your permissions, a job’s detail page may show:

  • Download file: download the original sliced file.
  • Prepare: for jobs awaiting approval, if you can submit jobs to the queue: see Approving Print Jobs.
  • Configure: for jobs awaiting approval that you submitted, if you can’t submit jobs to the queue yourself: confirm the job’s name and material requirements ahead of review.
  • Reject: decline a job awaiting approval, if you have permission to reject jobs.
  • Cancel Job: withdraw a job that hasn’t started printing yet.
  • Reprint: for completed, failed, or cancelled jobs: see Reprinting a Job.
