PrusaLink setup

Connect an MK4, MK4S, or CORE One through the site's agent.

The local PrusaLink integration covers MK4, MK4S, and CORE One with one nozzle and one loaded material. It uses the printer’s built-in HTTP API through your site’s agent; no Prusa cloud account is required. Physical printer qualification is still pending. Validate your exact printer, firmware and nozzle configuration before putting it into unattended service.

Add the printer

  1. Enable PrusaLink on the printer and make its address reachable from the site’s agent.
  2. Insert writable USB storage with enough space for the exported print file.
  3. In Add Printer, select the exact Prusa model and site.
  4. Enter PrusaLink address, Printer serial, and PrusaLink API key / password. Use an HTTP(S) origin such as http://192.168.1.20, without a path or embedded credentials.
  5. Select API key or HTTP Digest authentication. For Digest, enter its username.
  6. Enter the exact Expected firmware version, installed nozzle diameter, and high-flow setting.

The driver checks reported model, serial, firmware, upload support, and MMU configuration before operating the printer. Update the firmware pin only after reviewing a firmware change. MMU, multiple physical tools, and other Prusa models are outside this integration’s current scope.

Send a print

Export .gcode or .bgcode from your slicer for the configured machine and nozzle. A PrusaSlicer project .3mf must be sliced and exported first. Configure the printer’s loaded material in Pluraprint, review the job requirements, clear the build plate, and mark the printer ready.

An accepted upload or start request does not confirm printing. Pluraprint waits until the printer reports the file owned by that dispatch as actively printing. A preview, filament prompt, lost connection, or timeout can leave the attempt unresolved. Such attempts do not automatically expire or move to another printer.

Resolve an uncertain or ended print

Inspect the printer in person. Stop any motion and dismiss preview/start prompts. On the printer’s detail page, choose Reconcile physical print:

  • Choose It never started only when you have verified that no print occurred. The job returns to the queue and the printer remains idle until you mark it ready.
  • Choose The print ended when a print ran. Then record its success or failure through the usual outcome confirmation.

The original agent must be online. It verifies inactivity and removes only the uploaded file belonging to that attempt before releasing the hold. If verification fails, the hold remains. PrusaLink can omit the job identity in terminal states, so completion requires this operator action. Keep the agent’s data directory when restarting or upgrading it; its physical-attempt journal is required for recovery. Do not replace the agent or erase its journal to bypass a held attempt.
